We’re located in rural Hamilton, one hour west of Toronto.
The burial of pets is a custom which has been established in Europe for hundreds of years.
Our pet cemetery is named after Wassenaar, a seaside town in Holland where we first noticed a hundred year old pet cemetery and became aware such formally designated places even existed.
Our pet cemetery is on the banks of a small lake (Lake Houhaw) and one interpretation of Wassenaar is appropriately: near water.
Pet burial is a tradition which allows gentle closure to those left behind. A pet cemetery is a place of rest for your loving companion. It is a place to visit and remember.
